OBA Is A Mirror

Hi Clive!

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Very well said!

Team,

Some people just naturally tend to expect the negative. Others naturally tend to expect the positive.

But nothing is completely positive or negative. Wherever we direct our attention, we'll be met with both positive and negative elements and experiences.

The people who expect the negative will always notice the negative first, and allow their own negative perception to determine their opinion of the situation.

The people who expect the positive will always notice the positive first and allow their own positive perception to determine their opinion of the situation.

In other words, the exact same situation will always be viewed as unfavorable by some people and favorable by other people.

So it's entirely natural and predictable that some people will look at a business (or a boat or a bicycle or a book) and become hopelessly discouraged by exactly the same things that other people will completely disregard, acknowledge and accept, or even embrace.

It's also entirely natural and predictable that some people will find opportunity and success where other people are completely convinced that none can possibly exist.

So here are a few things we need to remember...

1.) Some people will find it far more difficult (or even impossible) to succeed in this or any other business because of their natural tendencies toward seeing things from a negative point of view.

2.) Other people enjoy a sort of "unfair advantage" simply because they are willing to accept the negatives as a necessary part of everything in this world and direct their focus toward seeing things from a postive point of view.

3.) People can consciously change from being a "negative person" to being a "positive person", but it takes time and effort, and most negative people won't even try because they consider their negative outlook to be balanced and accurate and realistic... which for them it is.

4.) OBA does not equal success. OBA equals opportunity. Opportunity is a perfect mirror. Opportunit doesn't create. It reflects. Millions of negative people looked at the opportunity to invest in Microsoft in the 1980's and saw the potential for failure and loss. Thousands of positive people looked into the exact same mirror of opportunity and saw the potential for success and gain. Opportunity is a mirror. OBA is a mirror.

5.) Sort, sort, sort. Sell to anyone who wants to buy one of your products... then sort. Look for people who want to succeed, believe they can succeed, are willing to do the work to succeed, and will refuse to give up until they do succeed. Help everyone you can, but learn to recognize the Leaders who find their way into your business and spend most of your time helping them.
Your friend and partner,
Dave

P.S. Clive gets it! Wink
